When is the right time to grow Salad Greens?

Salad greens are generally cold-loving plants and they thrive well under cool weathers and these plants are known for their ability to grow extensively well when properly grown.

The soil of the site should be very fertile and well-draining. Make sure that the site chosen will be able to ensure the proper germination and development of the plant.

Soil preparation:

The soil should be well prepared and carefully taken care of. You should incorporate organic manure or compost to the soil using a garden fork.

You should check the pH level of the soil,  make sure it is neither too acidic nor alkaline – make sure it meets the recommendation for the plant you are growing.

The soil should be tilled to a depth of about 2 – 3 inches so as to allow for the proper movement of the root within the soil.


Partition the growing area:
